To ensure each child’s individual dietary needs and preferences are respected, parents are responsible for packing their child’s lunch each day. This approach allows you to stay in control of what your child eats, whether you follow specific dietary guidelines, cultural food practices, or have allergy concerns.

working families. That’s why we operate on a set schedule to help parents plan their day with

7:30 AM – 5:30 PM
To ensure a smooth daily operation and the safety of all children in our care, we kindly ask that all children are picked up by 5:30 PM. This allows us to maintain a calm, safe closing routine and respect the time of our dedicated staff.

Schedule a Visit
We kindly require that you schedule an appointment before visiting our home daycare. This allows us to meet face-to-face, show you our space, and ensure our daycare is the right fit for your child’s needs.
Complete the Enrollment Forms
After your visit, there are a few important forms that must be completed, signed, and returned prior to your child’s start date. These documents ensure we have the information needed to provide safe, individualized care.
Enrolling More Than One Child?
If you are enrolling multiple children, please provide two copies of all forms except for the Agreement form (only one copy is needed for that).

We’re open Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM. We kindly ask that all children are picked up by 5:30 PM to help us maintain a smooth and safe closing routine. A late fee will apply for pickups after this time.
We care for children ages 6 weeks to 12 years old. Our programs are tailored to meet the developmental needs of infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and school-age children.
Yes! Smart Start Daycare is fully licensed in the state of Virginia, meeting all required standards for safety, care, and education.
Parents are responsible for packing lunch for their children each day. We provide healthy snacks to keep children energized and comfortable throughout the day.
Absolutely! We highly recommend scheduling a tour so you can see our space, meet us in person, and ask any questions. Tours are by appointment only to ensure individual attention.
